One Piece is a Japanese series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since July 19, 1997, with the chapter collected into eighty-one tankobon volumes to date. One Piece follows the adventure of Monkey D. Luffy, a funny young man whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his diverse crew of pirates, named 'The Straw Hat Pirates', Luffy explores the grand Line in search of the World's Ultimate treasure known as "One piece" in order to become the next 'Pirate King'.

Plot

The series begins with the execution of Gold D. Roger, a man known as the King of the Pirates. Just before his death, Roger announces that his treasure, the One Piece will be available to all who finds it, beginning the Great Pirate Era. As a result, countless pirates set out to the Grand line to look for the treasure. Monkey D. Luffy a young man inspired by a powerful pirate "Red Hair" Shanks, sets off to the sea to find the One Piece and proclaim himself as the Pirate King. He organises his crew with 9 members including himself.

Critical Analysis

The world of  One Piece is populated by humans and numerous other races such as Fishmen, Minkmen, and giants. it is covered by 2 oceans divided by a massive mountain range called The Red Line. The Pirates are supposed to go along the Grand Line (A sea perpendicular to the Red Line) in order to find the One Piece. There are 2 parts of Grand Line. One of them is Grand Line itself and the next half is 'The New World', ruled by the Pirate King.

Protogas D. Ace(The most powerful Logia Fruit user)

In the world of One Piece, there are fruits known as 'The Devil's Fruit', which gives a special power to them who consumes it. The Devil's Fruit is categorized in three types: 

1. Paramecia
2. Logia
3. Zoan 

Paramecia is a category for fruits that gives the user superhuman abilities. The Zoan is a category of fruits that gives the user the power to change forms to animals, beasts or  monsters. The Logia Fruit gives control over the user to change their body structure into the power of nature. Though the Devil's Fruit users get an enormous amount of power and superhuman abilities, they have a weakness that no Devil Fruit users can overcome, i.e. swimming. The Devil's Fruit user when gain the ability they lose the power to swim, which can be a disadvantage when they come against a Haki user.



There is a ability known as "Haki" that every individual of the One Piece world possesses but it is to be awakened by the person. It is the only ability that helps the user to overpower the Devil's Fruit users. There are mainly 3 types of Haki in the world of One Piece:

1. Color of Observation or Observation Haki (Kenbunshoku no Haki)
2. Color of Arnament or Arnament Haki (Busoshoku no Haki)
3. Color of the Conquering King or Conquerer's Haki (Haoshoku no Haki)

The Observation Haki grants users a sixth sense of the world around them and limited precognitive abilities. The Arnament Haki allows the user to use their spirit as armor to defend against attacks or to make their own attacks more potent. Finally, The Conquerer's Haki, a rare type of Haki only one in a million can use which grants the user the ability to overpower the will of others. Haki is shown that if it is used too much, it will stop working for sometime.

This is the most popular anime that I would llike to recommend for people from 13 above as it contains some mild violence in it.
